Dharamsala: A beauty girl 20 year-old, Tenzin Choezom from Dharamsala, was announced winner of the Miss Tibet 2009 beauty pageant on 7 June 2009. Prize money of hundred thousand rupees for the winner. Tenzin Choezom will represent Tibet in 2009 Miss Earth Pageant.
Miss Earth 2009, the 9th edition of Miss Earth beauty pageant, will be held between the 4th and 24th of October, 2009 in Manila, Philippines.
Crownd favorite, 18 year-old Ngawang Choying from Darjeeling became the first runner-up and was presented with 50,000 rupees.
While a beauty girl 24 year-old Dolkar from Dehradun became the second runner-up and was awarded with 25,000 rupees.
There are Four Tibetan girls competed this year for Miss Tibet 2009 crown. Dolkar, 24, from Dehra Dun; Ngawang Choying, 18, from Darjeeling; Tenzin Choezom, 20, from Dharamshala; and, Yeshi Lhamo, 24, from Bir.
