Miss Universe 2010, the 59th edition of the pageant, will be held at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA on August 23, 2010. It will be hosted by Bret Michaels and Natalie Morales.

Miss Universe 2009, Stefanía Fernández from Venezuela, will crown her successor at the end of this event. Grandeur girls from 83 countries and territories are expected to compete for the title.

The beauty 22-year-old Krystle Awurama Simpson has been selected as Miss Universe Ghana 2010. Awurama Simpson stands 1.80 m tall and will represent Ghana in the Miss Universe 2010 beauty pageant contest.
