Rebecca Maguire, Miss Wright Venue and the first runner-up in the national pageant, is the new Miss Ireland 2012 after the tittle winner Marie Hughes was asked to step down for violation of age requirement for Miss World Pageant. She is 20 years old and will represent Ireland in Miss World 2012 Pageant to be held in China this August.

Marie Hughes was crowned Miss Ireland 2012 at the finale of the national pageant held at the Ballsbridge Hotel on April 28, 2012. She is 21 years old and will represent the country at the Miss World 2012 competition to be held in Ordos, China, next August.

Aoife Hannon Crowned Miss Universe Ireland 2011

A beauty 19 year old Aoife Hannon from Listowel was crowned Miss Universe Ireland 2011 during a beauty contest held at the Burlington Hotel in Dublin. She was crowned by Rozanna Purcell, Miss Universe Ireland 2010.

New Beauty Queen, standing 178 cm tall, will represent Ireland at the Miss Universe 2011 pageant to be held on September 12 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Miss Cork 2011 pageant will be held on March 6 at Rochestown Park Hotel in Cork, Ireland. This is a regional pageant for Cork's women.

Two winners will be crowned at the end of the event. Miss Cork 2011 will represent Cork in Miss Ireland 2011 which will be held on August 20;

Another winner will be named Miss Universe Cork 2011 and will represent Cork in Miss Universe Ireland 2011 pageant to be held in June.
