Melinda Bam (22 year old, 170 cm, from Pretoria) was crowned Miss South Africa 2011 on December 10, 2011 during the pageant held at the Superbowl in Sun City. She will represent South Africa in Miss World 2012 and/or Miss Universe 2012

I am a hardworking and perseverant individual filled with passion and determination. I believe we can all contribute to making the world a better place by doing our bit.

Personal Motto?

Just as a drop has all the qualities of an open ocean, as do I of my Creator, that’s how I know I can do all things I want to do as the power lies within.

Favourite food ?

I love pap and tribe which is a traditional meat.

Favourite Music / Books ?

My favourite books are ‘The Secret’, ‘If I Can You Can’ and ‘To Kill A Mockingbird’. I enjoy Gospel music and house music.

No, I do not.

What is the proudest moment of your life or most memorable day?

My most memorable day was the day I graduated as I have given hope to all my siblings and cousins as I am the eldest child.

I love giving motivational talks and public speaking and I have a passion for instilling self-esteem and confidence in the youth, especially young girls.

Kim Rivalland Crowned Miss Earth South Africa 2011

Kim Rivalland from Cape Town was crowned Miss Earth South Africa 2011. She will represent South Africa at the 12th Miss Earth pageant in 2012. Mbali Makhathini, Kirsten Dukes and Kirsten Carls were the runners-up.

On September 2, 2011, Dominique Mann was selected to represent South Africa at the Miss Earth 2011 pageant, which will be held in Bangkok Thailand this year. She was one of the runners-up in last year’s MIss Earth South Africa competition.

Dhesha Jeram (23 year) , 1st runner-up of  Miss South Africa 2010 will represent South Africa at the Miss Supranational 2011 beauty pageant to be held Aug. 27 in Poland.

Dhesha lives in Constantia, Cape Town and has a B.Com degree in Economics and Management. Her hobbies include dancing, gym, art and reading. She was crowned First Princess Miss Kwa Zulu Natal in 2006 and is a part-time model with Fusion Models.

She was selected by license-holders South African Beauties to compete at the pageant.

The Miss South Africa Semi-Finalists for 2010 have been announced!

The 30 semifinalists of Miss South Africa have been chosen and the field will be reduced to 12 finalists that will compete for the title and crown of Miss South Africa 2010. From this process the 12 Miss SA finalists are selected. The 12 Finalists will be announced on the 25th of October 2010.

The group of 30 semifinalists, including Bokang Montjane (Miss Earth South Africa 2007), Chanel Grantham (Miss Earth South Africa 2009), Anja van Zyl (1st runner up to Miss SA 2008), and Dorah Mtetwa (finalist in Miss SA 2008).
