Stephanie Vander Werf (Miss Panama Universe), Ana Lorena Ibañez (Miss Panama Earth),
Karen Jordan (Miss Panama International) and Maricely Gonzalez (Miss Panama World)

Stephanie Vander Werf (25), a TV presenter and restaurant manager from Panama City was crowned Miss Panama 2012 during an event held at the Riu Plaza Panama on March 30th.  Vander Werf, who holds a degree in public relations, stands 177 cm and will represent her country at the Miss Universe 2012 pageant in December.

Crowned as Miss Panama World 2012 was Maricely Gonzalez (23) who will compete in the Miss World pageant in Ordos, China; Gonzalez is a singer and student who stands 172 cm in height.

Miss Panama International 2012 is Karen Jordan, and Miss Panama Earth 2012 is Ana Lorena Ibañez.

Tell us a little something about your Country ?

My country is little in extension but huge in richness, it has the best biodiversity in central America along with a great skyline and the best technology of the region.

Future ambitions ?

To have my own business of catering services, a boutique hotel and a dance and modelling school.

I always try my best; I am very independent and confident but at the same time sincere, sensitive and humble. God is my strength and I like hard work because I think it’s worth the effort.

Personal Motto?

Forget yesterday because it already passed, live today and work hard for tomorrow.

Favourite food ?

My favourite food is Mexican, tortilla soup and tacos.

Favourite Music / Books ?

My favourite music is by Celine Dion and Aerosmith. I particularly like romantic music in English or Spanish. I like motivational books and ‘Eat, Pray, Love’.

Do you have any pets ?

Yes, I have a beautiful black retriever called Tequila.

Dancing and cooking.

Lidia McNulty (21 year old, 1.72 m) was crowned Miss Supranational Panama 2011 during an event held at the Salon Barcelona in the Riu Hotel in Panama City on July 11th. Lidia, who represented the province of Los Santos, will represent Panama at Miss Suparational 2011, the 3rd Miss Suparational pageant to be held in Plock, Poland on 27 August.
