The lucky 20 year old Alina Buchschacher was crowned as Miss Switzerland 2011 or locally known as Miss Schweiz Wahl 2011,  which took place on September 24 at the Centro Esposizioni in Lugano.  She was crowned by Kerstin Cook, Miss Schweiz 2010.

Miss Switzerland is a Swiss beauty pageant for young women. Candidates are selected by television viewers and a jury. The winner is awarded the title Miss Switzerland (French: Miss Suisse, German: Miss Schweiz, Italian: Miss Svizzera). Since 1976, the pageant is organized by "Miss Schweiz Organisation AG".

A pretty girl 21 year old Kerstin Cook is the new Miss Schweiz 2010 or Miss Switzerland 2010. She was crowned last night September 25th at Theater 11 in Zürich. Kerstin Cook of Kriens stands 1.80 m. She will represent Switzerland in Miss Universe 2011. The first runner-up was Sabrina Guilloud and the second runner-up was Jennifer Hurschler.

Miss Universe 2010, the 59th edition of the pageant, will be held at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA on August 23, 2010. It will be hosted by Bret Michaels and Natalie Morales.

Miss Universe 2009, Stefanía Fernández from Venezuela, will crown her successor at the end of this event. Grandeur girls from 83 countries and territories are expected to compete for the title.
