The finale of Miss Venus Española Internacional 2012,organized by event agency Showstars, was held in Benidorm on April 22nd, 2012 and Spain’s Representatives to Miss Earth, Supranational and Intercontinental 2012 have been selected.

* Raquel Arias was crowned Miss Venus Española Internacional 2012. She is 19 years old and will represent Spain in Miss Earth 2012.
* Miriam Ruiz will represent Spain in Miss Intercontinental 2012. Miriam Ruiz from Costa Dorada is 20 years old.
* Nieves Sanchez will represent Spain in Miss Supranational 2012.

The runner-ups were Estela Cruz (crowned Miss Latina Spain) and Marina Romero (crowned Queen Española).

Andrea Huisgen Serrano Crowned Miss Spain 2011

Miss Barcelona, Andrea Huisgen Serrano (21 year old, 180 cm) was crowned Miss Spain 2011 or locally known as Miss Espana 2011 which was held last on November 27 at the Palacio de los Suenos in Sevilla. She will represent the country in Miss Universe 2012

Miss Spain 2012 Final Results

Miss Spain 2011 was Miss Barcelona, Andrea Huisgen Serrano (21 year old, 180 cm)

The 1st run-up also called as “Dama de Honor” was Miss Las Palmas, Aranzazu Estevez Godoy. (22 year old, 1.81m). She will compete at the Miss World 2012 pageant in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, next July.

The 2nd runner-up was 22 year old Miss Valencia, Ana Crespo Rodriguez (22 year old, 1.76m). She will enter the the Miss International 2012 competition in China.

Miss España 2011 or Miss Spain 2011 is the 51th edition of the beauty pageant Miss Spain. The pageant was held in on November 27, 2011. The 50 provinces and 2 autonomous cities making up the Spanish territory will be represented. The winner will represent Spain in Miss Universe 2012, being the other finalists in charge of representing the country at the Miss World (the first runner up), Miss Earth (the second), Miss International (the third) and so on importance for the Miss Europe, the International Coffee Queen and Queen Hispano.

Paula Guillo, who won the title of Miss Spain 2010 (photo above) and represent the country at Miss Universe 2011, will crown her successor.

Carla is currently in her fourth year of University studying medicine. Her dream is to travel to Africa to help all those affected by AIDS and malaria. Her hobbies include: cycling, reading and scuba diving. Carla’s personal motto is: ‘the beauty that first attracts is rarely the same beauty that wins the heart.’

INTERVIEW

Tell us a little something about your Country ?

There is a fantastic quality of life in Spain. Gran Canaria is in the miniature continent Las Palmas, known for its peace and harmony.

Future ambitions ?

Instead of an ambition, I prefer to call it a dream; I want to travel to Africa to help those affected by AIDS and malaria.

Describe yourself

I consider myself a happy, extroverted, responsible, hardworking and perseverant person.

Personal Motto?

The beauty that first attracts is rarely the same beauty that wins the heart.

Favourite food ?

I love the Spanish omelette and I couldn’t live without Spanish ham and foie.

Favourite Music / Books ?

I enjoy every kind of music: Adele, Bruno Mars, Nickelback and the Black Eyed Peas are some of my favourites. I love the book ’11 Minutes’ by Paulo Coelho, who I believe to be the best writer of the 21st Century. I also like ‘El Vencedor Esta Solo’ by Paulo Coelho and ‘El Principad’.

Do you have any pets ?

I have a parrot called Robin. He talks all the time, repeating things he has heard. We have falcons at home as my Father is trying to save them from extinction.

What is the proudest moment of your life or most memorable day?

The day I began working at the hospital and learned humanity and love are the qualities of human beings that can appear in the most unimaginable places.

Special Talents ?

Cooking and dancing the samba, meringue and salsa.

Any other interesting facts ?

I love to travel, learn about the different cultures and taste other countries food.
