Gabriella Vassileva is the new Miss Bulgaria 2012

Gabriela Vassileva replaced the original winner of Miss Bulgaria 2012, Ina Mancheva, after officials found out there was a mix up with the internet public votes and the judges votes. Ina originally won the most popular internet votes, not the judges votes. Gabriela was the 1st-runner up at the national pageant. She 20 years old stands 1.80 m. and will represent Bulgaria in Miss World 2012

Ina Ivailova Mancheva was crowned Miss Bulgaria 2012 or Мис България 2012 in Hungarian language at the finale of the national pageant held at the TV7 studios in Sofia on April 28, 2012. Ina from Vratsa is 17 years old and stands 1.70m. She will represent Bulgaria in Miss World 2012 Pageant to be held in China this August. Gabriela Vasileva and Paula Kolentsova completed the Top Three. Twelve contestants competed for Bulgaria’s national pageant.

Petya Velkova is the new Lady Bulgaria Universe 2012, she is 23 years old and 183 cm tall she will represent the country at the Miss Universe 2012 pageant in December. Petya Velkova represented Bulgaria in Top Model of the World 2011 in Germany.

Radina Izoneva (19) was crowned Lady Bulgaria World and will compete in Miss Asia Pacific World in Korea in June.

Veneta Penevska and Tsvetelina Zaharieva won the titles of Lady Bulgaria Continental and Millenium, respectively, which is the Mrs. Division (29 and up)

This marks the return of Bulgaria to the Miss Universe competition after 3 years absence.

Lady Bulgaria is new competition, which took the rights to the Miss Universe pageant after main competition "Miss Bulgaria" (who sends winner to Miss World) dropped the license.

Vanya is studying Bulgarian Philosophy at University and hopes to become a journalist. She describes herself as positive, sensitive and ambitious. In her spare time, she enjoys going fishing with her father.

Miss World 2011, the 61st edition of the Miss World pageant is scheduled to take place at the Earls Court Exhibition Centre on November 6, 2011 in London. Miss World 2010, Alexandria Mills of the United States will crown her successor at the end of the event.

The most important thing to me is family and friends. I’m a very positive, sensitive and impulsive person – a dreamer who believes in miracles.

Favourite food ?

I adore the traditional Bulgarian kitchen. My favourite dish is the Bamica with yogurt. I also like sushi and seafood.

Favourite Music / Books ?

I am a big fan of Umberto Totti, Tiziano Ferro and the Russian group, Lubeh. My favourite book is ‘Anna Karenina’ by Tolstoy.

Do you have any pets ?

Yes, I have a Persian cat named Erika.

What is the proudest moment of your life or most memorable day?

In 2007, I became the Queen of the Valley of Roses in my hometown which is a very important title in Bulgaria.

Special Talents ?

I love gardening, especially growing roses.

Any other interesting facts ?

I love travelling and meeting new people. I can always see something nice in everyone. People find me positive, helpful and sensitive.
