Rasa Vereniūtė Crowned Miss Lithuania 2012

Rasa Vereniūtė (20, 174cm, from Vilnius) was crowned Miss Lithuania 2012 during the event held on April 9th.  New Beauty Queen, Rasa will now represent her country during the Miss World 2012 pageant in Ordos, China, in August.

The 1st runner-up was Greta Mikalauskytė (19, 174 cm, from Šiauliai), and the 2nd runner-up Egle Standaite (21, 177 cm, from Vilnius; former Miss Supranational finalist). Standaite was also chosen the audience’s favorite.

One of the runner-ups will represent Lithuania in the Miss Universe 2012 pageant in December, as explained by Miss Lithuania organizer Ben Gudelis. It is the first time in history Lithuania competes in Miss Universe.  The country has been present at Miss World since 1993.

Miss Lithuania 2011 - Ieva Gervinskaité

Miss Lithuania 2012 or locally called as Miss Lietuva 2012 pageant will take place on April 9 at the Svyturio Arena in Klaipeda. The reigning Miss Lithuania 2011 - Ieva Gervinskaité (photo above), will crown to her successor as Miss Lithuania 2012. The winner of Miss Lithuania will represent her country at Miss World 2012.

Miss World 2012 will the the 62nd edition of the Miss World pageant to be held on August 18 in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China. Ivian Sarcos of Venezuela will crown her successor at the end of the event.

Tell us a little something about your Country ?

Lithuania is my homeland. It is beautiful with all its forests, rivers and fields. I always try to return to my village.

Future ambitions ?

To become a professional lawyer.

Favourite food ?

My favourite food is delicious food. I like all kinds of dishes.

I enjoy classical and funk music and books about peoples’ lives.

What is the proudest moment of your life or most memorable day?

My proudest moment was seeing my family’s faces after being crowned.

I can play the accordion.

The new beauty queen will represent Lithuania in Miss World 2011 beauty contest on November 6 in London, UK.
