Edmilza Nicósia Mota dos Santos (20, 1.73m, Malanje) , the 1st runner-up of Miss Angola 2011, was supposed to compete in Miss World 2011 but withdrew because of visa problems. Comité Miss Angola recently announced that she will represent Angola in Miss World 2012 in Ordos, Inner Mongolia next July.

The Miss Angola Universo 2012 pageant is scheduled for next December as customary.

Miss Angola 2012

LUANDA, Angola - Marcelina Vahekeni (21, 1.70m, Ondjiva) was crowned Miss Angola 2012 at the Belas Conference Centre in Luanda. She will represent Angola in Miss Universe 2012. Manuela Agostinho was the first runner-up and Isilda Silva was the second runner-up. Rossana Silva and Catarina Furtado completed the Top Five.

As reported on November 8, Edmilza Nicosía Mota dos Santos, first runner-up of Miss Angola 2011, will represent Angola in Miss World 2012 in Ordos, Inner Mongolia next July.

The organizers of the Miss Angola pageant will launch the Miss Angola Mundo pageant next July and the winner will compete in Miss World 2013.

Miss Universe 2011, Leila Lopes of Angola, The first day of new Beauty Queen she was interviewed by Rede Band at the Hilton Hotel on Tuesday morning, this was her first official appearance as the new titleholder.

Leila Lopes will travel to New York at the Trump Tower Apartment which will be her home during her reign as the 60th Miss Universe. Her first appearances will visit to Singapore and to Indonesia.

Beauty Queen 25 year old Leila Lopes of Angola was crowned Miss Universe 2011, the 60th edition of the pageant, was held at the Credicard Hall, in São Paulo, Brazil on September 12, 2011. Leila Lopes, Miss Angola, was crowned Miss Universe 2011 by outgoing titleholder, Miss Universe 2010, Ximena Navarrete from Mexico.

Leila Luliana da Costa Vieira Lopes (born February 26, 1986) is an Angolan beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Universe 2011. She was previously named as Miss Angola 2011.
