The Miss República Dominicana Universo 2009 will be held at the Centro de Convenciones de San Souci in Santo Domingo Este, on May 17, 2009.
Marianne Cruz , Miss República Dominicana Universo 2008 , will crown her successor at the end of this event. The 2009 beauty queen Miss República Dominicana Universo will represent her country in Miss Universe 2009 beauty contest.
Miss Universe 2009, the 58th Miss Universe beauty pageant, will be held at the Atlantis Paradise Island, in Nassau, Bahamas on August 23, 2009. Dayana Mendoza, from Venezuela, winner of Miss Universe 2008, will crown her successor in the event.
